beSECURE will scan all IP addresses that you have entered for a scan (including a range of IP addresses or subnet) , regardless of their availability. To avoid scanning unavailable IP addresses, select the Ping Host parameter to ping the host before scanning it.
To select the Ping Hosts parameter, do the following:
- Select Disable Scan to stop the scan (if it is running).
- Select Enable Scan to make it available again.
- Select Scans > Scan List.
- Select the scan from the list.
- Under the Settings tab, select the Additional Settings tab.
- Select Ping Hosts.
- Select Modify.
- Select Immediate Scan to restart the scan.
